Understanding Non-Bleeding Sealant for Indian Facades
Facades in modern architecture are no longer merely exterior covering shells. They set the standards for aesthetics, performance and sustainability. As India has extreme heat and heavy monsoons, the right material selection becomes important. One such component, Alstone Silicone Sealant NB-6000, is a special adhesive that prevents oily substances from oozing out over time and staining porous surfaces like natural stone or ACP panels.
There are 3 colours in standard : bright white, charcoal black and clear/transparent. It is an Exterior sealant. The USP (Unique Selling Proposition) is a choice of colour. At Alstone you can get any color of the Non Bleeding Sealant whether solid color or Metallic Color.
What is a Non-Bleeding Sealant?
ALSTONE Non-Bleed Sealant is a modified silicone-based green-neutral product. A non-bleeding sealant is a formulation that does not allow plasticizer oils or any individual material as it is made with MS polymer technology. Our non-bleed sealant is ideal for sealing natural stone exteriors, ACP, Glass. In contrast to regular sealants, it stays powerful through the ages and doesn’t stain or discolour. Also, it resists the surface from being damaged. In simple terms, it “stays where it is applied” and has no effect on the material surrounding it. That's why this is very important and convenient and looks really nice.
Why do traditional sealants spread?
Low molecular weight oils or additives are present often in a standard sealant. As the sealant is exposed to heat, UV radiation, and moisture over time, these particles may leach out of the sealant and transfer to neighbouring surfaces like stone, ACP coatings, and laminated glass edges. This may create unsightly stains or haze and weaken surface appearance and quality. These particles can leach out of the sealant and migrate to the edges of surrounding surfaces, such as stone, ACP coatings, or laminated glass. This can lead to:
● Unattractive stains or pitting
● Weakening of the surface
● Loss of aesthetic appeal
The importance of non-bleeding weather or neutral plus silicone sealant.
The silicone sole sealant is easy to work with because of its good UV resistance to a wide range of materials and building components. Seals are available for gaps between glass, aluminium, ACP, UPVC, etc. It effectively waterproofs and collects other surfaces, including plastic and metal. It covers gaps in kitchen fixtures. It fills the grooves in the bathroom, especially in washbasins and bathtubs. Standard sealants often contain low molecular weight oils or additives. Over time, due to:
● Exposure to heat
● UV radiation
● Exposure to moisture
Importance of ACP/glass Indian facades.
Since India experiences extreme heat and heavy monsoons, choosing the right material becomes essential. The outer coating of the ACP sheet, when coated with PVDF or FEVE, is extremely slippery, which makes it very sensitive to leakages of oil from extraterrestrial sources. Bleeding sealants will eventually damage the surface finish and discolour it. The panels will maintain their pristine appearance for many years, thanks to sealants that won't bleed. ACP and glass are nothing to worry about, and they can also be used in dry and wet conditions. Superior adhesion to different substrates without a primer coating. Doesn't contain isocyanates and has no odour. After curing, excellent chemical resistance is achieved. The connection and bond are indeed unique. It is resistant to UV and weather. Easy to utilise.
Here are the most essential ACP and glass facades.
Avoids Staining on ACP Panels.
It shields the sidelines of glass and interlayer.
Crucial for the Climate of India.
Preserves Visual Consistency.
Can make the tool last long.
Essential attributes to watch out for.
● Verify that your non-bleeding sealant offers
● Tested on ACP and glass, it is proven non-staining.
● Strong UV protection.
● Strong adhesion to different substrates.
● Allowing the design to move due to thermals.
● Resistance to weather and moisture
conclusion
The smallest of parts often count the most in facade engineering. Non-bleeding sealants are essential for maintaining the aesthetics and performance of ACP and glass facades, especially from India's extreme environmental conditions. The selection of the sealant is a technical and economic issue, high-rise buildings and sealants improve the durability and appearance of the building.
